Chief Financial Officer, Partner, Advisor

I have always had a passion for finance, and in my early 30’s I turned that passion into a successful career as a Chief Financial Officer. Additionally, I have always had a passion for learning, so I entered the Executive MBA program at UCLA while working full time as a CFO. While in school, a fellow classmate changed my future with a simple question, “Wouldn’t it be more rewarding to help people plan for their futures rather than help corporations plan for theirs?”

That question really resonated with me as it presented a rare opportunity to work in a spectrum of the financial field that excited me, while enabling me to positively impact people’s lives. The classmate, Darius Gagne, and I then created Quantum Wealth Management, building it from the ground up to help individuals and families accomplish what was most important to them in their financial lives. Looking back, it is difficult to believe that at a time when we each enjoyed new families (my identical twin boys had just turned one) and lucrative corporate careers, we started a wealth management firm with no potential clients ready to sign. My motivation felt justified, however, given a passion for what I was doing, a determination to create something special, and an untapped line of credit on my house.

That year was 2005, and here I am today with our next generation firm, an incredible group of fellow partners, many years of experience in the industry, and a fantastic group of clients whom I have tremendously enjoyed getting to know and guide. I am extremely proud to be a part of the Quantum Financial Advisors team.

Experience & Qualifications

I began my career with Price Waterhouse, where I earned my CPA. Following Price Waterhouse, I held senior positions at 20th Century Fox Theatrical, Fox Sports (where I completed all of the financial analysis for an eight-year, $4 billion NFL broadcast rights agreement), Transamerica Technology Finance, and North American Scientific (where I was head of corporate finance for a Russell 2000 public company). I was then CFO for NextLeft, a private, interactive marketing company for Fortune 100 companies. In 2005 we created Quantum Wealth Management, which became the basis for our expansion into Quantum Financial Advisors.

In addition to being a Certified Public Accountant, currently registered inactive, I hold my MBA from UCLA Anderson and am a Certified Financial Planner as well as a Certified Exit Planning Advisor as I work predominantly with business owners and executives.

Our Quantum Advantage

I have always believed the focus of a financial advisory business should begin and end with deep listening, enabling us to deliver and execute a strategy that helps you accomplish what is important to you. Leveraging my Chief Financial Officer experience, my fellow Quantum advisors and I strive to serve as a Personal CFO so you can focus on the people, experiences and things that bring you joy and fulfillment. Collectively, we tailor an investment approach to your values and goals and connect you with a team of trusted experts, creating a strong bench of advisors who will advocate for you, enabling you to sleep well at night comforted by the knowledge that your finances are in good hands.

Outside of Work

I enjoy being active, whether it’s surfing, skiing, playing soccer, or mountain climbing. I’ve enjoyed helping coach my identical twin boys in club soccer over the years and focus our vacations on active experiences.
